Emirates ID Fines and Violations

  • Dh20,000 for issuing visas or entry permits to non-existent facilities.

Lost or Damaged Emirates ID:

  • Dh300 for replacement, plus application fees (Dh70 through typing centers or Dh40 through the ICA website).

  • An express replacement service is available for an additional Dh150.

Residency and Foreign Affairs Fines

Six specific violations each incur a fine of Dh500:

  1. Submitting transactions that do not belong to the company.

  2. Entering data not belonging to the company via e-dirham.

  3. Expiration of the company representative’s card.

  4. Not carrying the card when submitting transactions.

  5. Violating the work system in service centers.

  6. Non-compliance with the pledge submitted to the ICP.

Major Violations and Fines

  • Dh5,000 for misuse of the system, obstructing ICP employees, or failing to pay fees.

  • Dh20,000 for issuing visas or entry permits to non-existent facilities.


Exemptions from Late Renewal Fines

The ICP provides certain exemptions from late renewal fines under specific circumstances:

  1. Extended Absence: Individuals who spent over three months outside the UAE and whose ID expired during this period.

  2. Deportation: Those deported or with seized passports due to legal issues.

  3. Nationality Changes: Individuals obtaining UAE nationality or family books.

  4. Medical Reasons: Bed-ridden individuals or those with contagious diseases.

  5. Diplomatic Staff: Diplomats and consular staff and their dependents.

  6. Elderly: Individuals aged 70 and above who are unable to visit service centers.

  7. Financial Hardship: Emiratis under the social security system with proof of financial status.

  8. System Errors: Delays caused by computer errors.
